RRF is working on many projects at present.

I live with my parents in Bawana near the post office. Earlier, I used to study in a government school, however, I had to leave for my village, due to which my admission was canceled. One day, volunteers from Robin Raina Foundation came for a survey and enrolled my name for their center. Next day onwards, I started going to the center for my education and observed that several kids like me, who were earlier devoid of education come here. The teachers at the center have promised me to get me admitted to a school in the coming year. At the center, every day we are given midday meals to eat. Also, I have received copies, bag, pencils, and dress from the center. I am happy that I am studying at Robin Raina Foundation.

Until the year 2004, I used to reside at Yamuna Pusta, Delhi with my family. But, in the same year, our dwellings were destructed and we were enforced to move to J.J. Colony, Bawana. At that time, I was studying in 10th standard. After the Yamuna Pusta demolition, everything came to a standstill. Unfortunately, I could not pursue my education further and my studies came to a halt. The circumstances were so unfavorable that I did not get admission in Bawana School also and I had to sit at home, idle. During that time, there was no one to help or guide on my life choices, particularly education. However, next year in 2005, life had some great plans for me. Robin Raina Foundation came as a blessing. The Foundation volunteers encouraged me to continue my education once again. In the meanwhile, the foundation enrolled me in NIOS program and I was once again admitted to class 10th. After some time, I successfully passed 10th and 12th standards from NIOS. Later on, with RRF’s valuable support and guidance, I enrolled myself in Bachelor of Social Work program through IGNOU. Continuing with the same zeal and enthusiasm, I have recently attempted Final year exams for Masters in Social Work. RRF volunteers have harnessed the potential in me and inspired me to work with sincerity and commitment. Like I was helped and guided by the foundation, I too want to contribute my bit to the society. Robin Raina Foundation has completely transformed my life, for which I will always be truly obliged to the foundation.

I live in J.J. Colony, Bawana with my family. Earlier, we had a hand-made slum, to which there was always a fear of catching fire or to be looted by people. Because of all these reasons, I was unable to move out and go to work. The thought of not being able to support my family financially has caused a huge rift between me and my husband. As everything has its repercussions, I was unable to send my daughter to school for her education. After some time, I learned about Robin Raina Foundation and went to them to seek some help for me and my family. The Foundation was very helpful and sanctioned me a loan of Rupees 5000/-. I used this amount to set a cosmetics shop along the roadside and started earning a living for myself. Meanwhile, I started sending my daughter to the Robin Raina Foundation Center to be imparted with education and knowledge. After paying off my first debt, I again reached the foundation for another loan of Rupees 25000/- to set up my Cosmetics business on a slightly bigger scale. The business is well set now and has started reaping profits also. The Foundation has been boundary less in its approach and has extended help to give me a permanent home in the colony. Today, I am living a respectful life with my kids and husband and do not fear anyone or anything. My husband has also started showing interest in my business. Living with dignity and without fear, Robin Raina Foundation’s contribution has been instrumental in my life.
