ATLANTA----December 21, 2005 - Robin Raina Foundation (RRF) today announced that the recently organized cricket game and charity dinner in Delhi for the new Raina Khushii home for orphan street kids in Delhi was a great success. The game aptly named the Sunil Dutt Cup had al its proceeds going to the building of the proposed Raina-Khushii Home.
The day cricket game on Dec.3, 2005 was held at the Devi Lal Stadium at Gurgaon and was followed by an exclusive dinner in the same evening at the Radisson Hotel in New Delhi. The charity cricket game watched by thousands of people was relayed live on most of the television channels in India as a part of their news broadcasts.

The game played between the Kapil Dev 11 and the Sunil Shetty 11 had a cross-section of the Bollywood industry, Cricketers, politicians and businessmen playing. The bevy of celebrities who attended both the events included Shatrughan Sinha, Sunil Shetty, Govinda, Gulshan Grover, Amisha Patel, Pooja Batra, Kirti Reddy, Riya Sen, Rima Sen, Rikku Rakesh Nath, Meera, Priya Dutt, Rageshwari, Kapil Dev, Atul Wassan, Kirti Azad, Madan Lal, Chetan Sharma, Amar Singh, Haryana Governor Mr. Hooda, a number of parliamentarians, and a number of eminent businessmen. RRF’s founder Robin Raina also played the game, as a part of Sunil Shetty 11 team.
The evening dinner had some heart warming speeches from Priya Dutt, Robin Raina, Member Parliament Kuldeep Bishnoi, Shatrughan Sinha and Khushii President Vandana Luthra. The late Sunil Dutt’s daughter and newly elected parliamentarian Priya Dutt was the chief guest for the evening. The evening’s highlight was the Bollywood humanitarian award to Sunil Shetty for his work over the years to help the underprivileged.

RRF Spokesperson Ashish Arora said: “The event is a first step towards raising funds and awareness for setting of the Raina Khushii Home for the Orphan street kids in Delhi. We are presently in the process of putting together a joint venture between Khushii and RRF to launch the home at the earliest.”
“The Raina-Khushii home was conceptualized by RRF founder Robin Raina and Khushii founder & legendary cricketer Kapil Dev over the last few months. The Raina-Khushi home is planned as a Best practices center for orphan street kids.” Ashish added, “This home will be like a home rather than a hostel, with a designer child friendly decor, televisions, refrigerators, computers, study area, library, game room, dining tables etc. This home is intended to be the replication model to make more homes like this, to help poor children in India.”
